DNS Required to Make Router Smart

#1

In order to make a router smart from the Smart.Network app it must first have a connection to the internet and DNS must be configured.

DNS servers are added under IP>DNS manually or automatically via DHCP-Client (note - we recommend you do not check ‘allow remote requests’ and if you do, make sure it is secured with appropriate filter rules in input chain)

If configuring manually, navigate to IP>DNS and set “Servers” field to be your ISP’s DNS or a public DNS such as 8.8.8.8.

If the app fails to make the router smart and returns the error code -4011, it is because the router is missing DNS servers.
